An Interesting Herb Journal #1

My first recollection of herbs began about 40 years ago. I must confess, the pain and suffering was not my own. It was of my first husband who confided to using wood grain alcohol laced with Kool-Aid with Viet Nam buddies. Needless to say the action caused him sleepless nights several years later.

My investigation to a solution lead me to purchase my first herb book, Back To Eden, by Jethro Kloss and I have given away many editions since then. It was the eating of the suggested raw shelled pumpkin seeds for prostrate problems and the relatively quick change in the direction of the problem that got my attention.

Years later those who would approach me because of my intense interest, usually starts with the love of a third person; the object of who needs healing. I learned herbs can be fresh, dried, roots, or ground from seeds. A good Herb book, helps understand the vitamin and nutritional properties of the herbs like any other food. I am still learning and am the better person because of it.

As always, seek the advice of a medical practitioner for disease.
