Scleroderma

It is not a very friendly autoimmune disease which systems are different than any other autoimmune disease like, multiple sclerosis, vitilago, lupus, to name a few.

The failure of the connective tissue seems to stem from a protein bonding to the DNA.

People who have taken a bare bones approach to scleroderma by juicing and enriching their diets by the fresh food approach and enzymes provided make a less toxic burden on the body.

Liquid Aloe with immune formula, which has a healing effect and reduces the acidic base will bring the disease to a better PH. The goal is to bring the inflammation down to a range of 7-7.4 PH. There are urine kits which can be used to test how the regulating is going.

Always work to get the optimum of 7.0 PH. Work with the doctor and treatments. The disease is a difficult one to get under control or slow its progress. Alternative medicines do help because of its raw material base, so the practitioner can be included it what is working.

The Turmeric, Ginger, Slippery Elm Bark are good staples where disease is present and the need to use natural anti-inflammatory,anti-bacterial methods without compromise.

Hi, Paulita here.

I have been working for over 29 years in Telecommunications Industry throughout several departments. I have seen many changes and trends. The world seems to have become a smaller place as a result.

Working with herbs for over 40 years now has taught me, I am never too old to learn something new.

I Used Collagen II, Journal #2

Not too long ago, February 25, 2009 to be exact, I slipped and fell on ice that was on our steps. At once embarrassed, I got up and hobbled to my car a few feet away. I had no clue, I would be returning home in less than three hours.

At work, after sitting at my computer, my injured left leg throbbed, and I could not tell where the pain began or ended, bone or muscle. I was not able to bear my own weight on it and asked to go to the emergency room to have it checked. My car, not parked far and with the help of a co-worker, I hobbled out to my car (thank God, right leg okay).

Stopping home, I retrieved my teenager's discarded crutches. At the hospital, parking lot, seeing my difficulty, an off-duty hospital worker offered to drive me to the emergency door via his nearby Honda. Thankful, I took him up on it.

Once inside, I was questioned, treated and discharged with the diagnosis, contusion- a crushing of the deep tissues, My instructions, Ibuprofen, elevate my leg and use an ice pack for swelling.

Wow, it seemed so easy until I had to get well fast. I was using my own vacation time, my supervisor insisted, I made my favorite cocktail, *Slippery Elm (for wounds), *Turmeric (an anti-inflammatory) and *Ginger (for blood clots and kidneys) all powders in an 8 ounce glass of water for the next three days. Each day I became stronger and could hobble without the crutches. I gave myself a regiment of salads with watercress, tomatoes, cucumbers, lemon juice, vinegar and olive oil. I promised myself the check in with the doctor.

I knew, extending beyond my home would be a challenge. I Remembered, a product used three years ago, by a friend, which the herb store owner sold as "her best product". It was Collagen II, a Hyaluronic Acid made from Chicken cartilage.

On the third day, I was back to work, still getting better every day. By April 9, much better, I could actually hop on the infamous leg! I remember thinking humbly during my down time, I honestly know how it feels to be ambulatory. I looked at my less fortunate elders hobbling around with the visual signs of aging, rheumatoid arthritis swollen ankles and said a little prayer. Some f my co-workers are starting to come around ito consider supplements and heerbal support choices even my *cocktail.  One friend who's husband was in Desert Storm, uses the *Slippery Elm always asks her , "Where is that Slippery Tree?" We have a good laugh.

An Interesting Herb Journal #1

My first recollection of herbs began about 40 years ago. I must confess, the pain and suffering was not my own. It was of my first husband who confided to using wood grain alcohol laced with Kool-Aid with Viet Nam buddies. Needless to say the action caused him sleepless nights several years later.

My investigation to a solution lead me to purchase my first herb book, Back To Eden, by Jethro Kloss and I have given away many editions since then. It was the eating of the suggested raw shelled pumpkin seeds for prostrate problems and the relatively quick change in the direction of the problem that got my attention.

Years later those who would approach me because of my intense interest, usually starts with the love of a third person; the object of who needs healing. I learned herbs can be fresh, dried, roots, or ground from seeds. A good Herb book, helps understand the vitamin and nutritional properties of the herbs like any other food. I am still learning and am the better person because of it.
